End to a successful day! I love when I get everything done on my list and have time left over for fun. I even baked Cassava Pie for the first time!
I used a stamp in my bullet journal to colour in and compare my faber castell pitt artist pens, tombow dual brush markers and water colour paints. I think the faber castell artist pens look more vibrant but I loved the water colouring process. With practice I’m sure I’ll get better with them both. I only have a few tombows and really didn’t enjoy using them, so I’ll just use those for lettering practice.
I’ve been baking bread since I was a teenager, but for some reason I’ve never made French Baguettes until now! Can’t say they look great, they look like giant brown slugs. Lol But… they taste awesome and are incredibly easy to make!! I think they spread because I had them rising in the oven and had it a bit too warm. Oh well, next time I’ll be more careful. I was hungry and dying to have them with my soup. 😒
My eldest made cinnabons for the 1st time and they are amazing! I think I should retire and let him take over. Lol
The #birthday guy requested mint chocolate chip cake for his special day. It tastes just like our favorite ice cream!! 😆
I made 2 dozen #cinnabons this morning for church guests and my family. There are none left, but it was soooo worth it. SIGH

My piping is getting better! Obviously in order to practice I need to continue making cupcakes on a regular basis. So today I made fudge Brownie Cupcakes with Peanut butter buttercream frosting. It’s a cross between dipping an Oreo in peanut butter and eating Reeses peanut butter cups. Which means….I am honestly considering eating nothing all day so I can justify eating more than one. Although that probably wouldn’t work. Lol

So last night I felt compelled to do some baking. I decided on funfetti cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting and snickerdoodle cupcakes with a vanilla and cinnamon swirl butter cream. OMG is all I can say.
Unfortunately I need a new oven and can’t bake like I used to as these supposedly 20 minute cupcakes took almost an hour to bake! Soon I’ll have a new one though and then watch out world cause I have a baking list a mile long! I may need to start running everyday so I don’t turn into a cupcake!
I’m also going to invest in some better cake decorating equipment. As a side note, I have to say I doubt I’ll be using the round piping tool again because it’s just no way to not make the frosting look like a load of poop on my cupcakes. Lol
I also need more piping practice, but I’ll get there! ☺
Had to make some more hot cross buns. No time to add the cross before they get eaten, but #God knows I love Him and we all know what they represent. ☺
