I used to blog sporadically using my tumblr account and have decided to step it up a notch. This is due to a dear friend of mine who recently passed away. She was probably the only one who read my blog and commented, and I was okay with that. It’s hard to accept that she’s gone, it was so sudden. I guess that’s just how death occurs.

She used to always push me to blog and prodded me when I hadn’t blogged in a while. She blogged regularly and really made me look bad. Lol I can literally hear her scolding me when I don’t blog regularly! Lol

We have/had the same interests in nature and anything crafty and had a lot of fun sharing our creations. I feel she wouldn’t want me to stop sharing and because of that I decided to move to WordPress. I figured I’m more likely to communicate with others who share the same interests here. She’d want me to do this.

I will not give up and I will always remember one of the sweetest people I ever came across. She was a jewel and will be missed.

RIP my darlin Nicki. xxxx

Learning how to weave

I gave a loom/weaving kit to a young girl for Christmas and realized I can’t teach something I don’t know!! So I got a picture frame and push pins and made my own loom. I used some string for my warp threads and am using my scrap yarn and lace for the weft threads. I may stick some fabric in there as well. This is easy and fun! Wish I had figured this out sooner. 😊😊

Colour tool comparison

End to a successful day! I love when I get everything done on my list and have time left over for fun. I even baked Cassava Pie for the first time!

I used a stamp in my bullet journal to colour in and compare my faber castell pitt artist pens, tombow dual brush markers and water colour paints. I think the faber castell artist pens look more vibrant but I loved the water colouring process. With practice I’m sure I’ll get better with them both. I only have a few tombows and really didn’t enjoy using them, so I’ll just use those for lettering practice.
